Jami Lacour is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana who joined Davidson Meaux in 2014. Jami practices in general litigation with a focus toward railroad defense, FELA claims, premises liability, and insurance defense. She has represented clients in both, state and federal courts, and at the appellate level. Jami earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University where she was an active member of the Psy Chi Honor Society and Delta Gamma Fraternity. She earned her Juris Doctor degree at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In law school, Jami studied international maritime law in Spetses, Greece and was awarded the Law Excellence Award in Business Organizations I.

Jami began serving her community by providing legal representation to indigent clients while a student practitioner in the Family Law section of the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice. She has continued this practice by providing pro bono legal advice to Lafayette citizens through Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers’ Counsel on Call program. Jami is also an active member of the Lafayette Bar Association and currently serves on the board of the Lafayette Young Lawyers Association. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.

Jami is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, The United States District Court for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In her free time, Jami enjoys playing kickball with the Acadian Sports League and cheering on the LSU tigers and New Orleans Saints.
